Eyram Fiaka
Eyram Akosua Fiaka is a senior nursing officer at the Volta Regional hospital. She joined the hospital in October 2012. She graduated from the School of Nursing, University of Ghana, Legon with a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in the year 2010. She continued with a one-year internship at La General Hospital.
In 2013, Ms Fiaka was assigned as a ward manager of the male medical ward. In that same year she attended a preceptor training jointly organized by the Nurses Training College, Ho and the School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM), University of Health and Allied Health Sciences. She was re-assigned to the Accidents and Emergencies (A&E) ward in 2015 and is currently the ward manager of the transient unit of the A&E. She also doubles as the block sister in charge of accidents and emergencies and surgical/medical OPD.
She has attended various workshops geared at providing improved nursing care to clients. She serves as a member of the peer review team of the Volta Regional Hospital and the Infection Prevention and Control focal person.
